Step 1
Discover & Design
Send your preferred diamond specifications or ring design idea to James for an initial review.
The discovery and design process is mainly about understanding what you want and what you are seeking from your engagement ring.
Every couple is unique and there is a wide range of preferences when it comes to which aspects of the ring might be more important than others. Some have a fixed budget and everything has to fit within that number. Others value the size or colour of the diamond as more important, and others have a particular ring style that tops their list. Everyone’s different in their own important way.
Our job is to help you by providing options that present an overall balance between all the competing factors; price, size, colour, clarity, design, and timeframe. This allows you control and choice over what’s most important to you.
Many couples start with choosing the center diamond first because that has the most influence over the total cost. The center diamond of an engagement ring can be 80%-90% of the overall price of the finished ring. Getting the best value-for-money for the center stone, at the start of the process, can lead to the biggest savings overall.
Step 2
Diamond Selection
Choose the center diamond from the Price List or ask James to search the databases for you.
After watching the short video on our Contact Us page, titled “How to Get the Most from Our Service“, you’ll have an understanding of the type of information that helps us assist you most effectively. Once you’ve reviewed the video, simply email James your preferred ring design, diamond specifications, or any ideas you would like explored.
If you’ve found a ring style or loose diamond on another website, we recommend including the reference URL in your email. This allows James to conduct a genuine like-for-like comparison and provide accurate advice and pricing.
Following an initial discussion, James may undertake further research on your behalf, drawing on our DeBeers network and diamond databases to identify suitable options. He will then return to you with a range of recommendations and pricing alternatives for your consideration.
Step 3
Bring Your Design to Life
See your ring through a realistic 3D-rotating video before production begins.
Once the center diamond has been chosen and the ring design has been discussed, we create a computer aided design (CAD) of the whole thing. You’ll then be able to visualise what your ring will look like in realistic detail, because the 3D-rotating video we send you shows the exact dimensions of the diamond and the setting together, and you can see how it looks from different angles. It’s easy to make changes at this point and you can modify the design until we arrive at your perfect look.
Step 4
Expert Craftsmanship
Your ring is manufactured to the highest standards of workmanship and quality.
Once you are completely satisfied with the design and every detail has been finalised, your ring moves into production. Crafted by our highly skilled jewellers in Sydney and Brisbane, each piece is meticulously manufactured using decades of industry experience and expertise in fine jewellery. Every ring is created with exceptional attention to detail, precision craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality, ensuring a beautiful piece worthy of treasuring forever.
Step 5
Enjoy Your Forever Piece
Your ring is shipped directly to you with certificates and documentation.
After passing our rigorous quality control checks, your finished ring is carefully packaged and prepared for delivery. Your shipment is fully insured and includes your ring presented in your choice of a timber or leather box, the original diamond certificate, and a valuation certificate for insurance purposes. You will also receive a precious metal polishing cloth and a personalised thank-you keyring, which entitles you to either an upgrade or a discount on future purchases.
